When a client wants a web site, the very first question I have is, "What sort of colors do you want
for your website (predominant colors)?" I usually hope to get answers like, "Reds" or "Blues" or "Tans/Browns" or "Maroons". I
have come into problems where someone says they like "Royal Blue" and if you see on this chart, "royalblue2" is
much different from "royalblue4".
Another way is to go to my thumbnails page (link below) and scroll down the page
of pictures to see if one color scheme jumps out at you (because I have a lot of different colors there). That

If clients have existing logos, it would stand to reason that they would want to use those colors,
so that is important to know as well.
